Masonry Skills Development and Livelihood Training
MAASIM, Sarangani (May 24, 2014) – Beneficiaries of Training cum Production program constructs a two-classroom building at Mangelen Integrated School in barangay Kamanga, Maasim. The program which benefits more than 60 out of school youth in the municipality is a joint partnership among Holcim Philippines, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA-12), Local Government of Maasim, Southmin iHome, Inc., Association of Construction and Informal Workers, Sarangani Province Empowerment and Community Transformation Forum, Condrado & Ladislawa Alcantara Foundation, Inc., and Sarangani Energy Corporation. The program, seeks to “improve the level of knowledge and skills of the Masons thus enhancing their employability and market value through formal training and certification” and “promote Skills Development and People Empowerment through Community-Based Training and Competency Assessment."
